Postpartum Doula Training & Certification

Modern Roots postpartum training centers maternal health as the foundation for postpartum care. This essential course includes 10 pre-recorded, go at your own pace, instructional videos- including lectures, readings, and resources totaling more than 25 hours of instruction. Topics include lactation specific education taught in tandem by an IBCLC and a CLC, anatomy and physiology of the postpartum body, sexuality and relationships, recommended postpartum bodywork, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, infant growth and development, working with multiples, new parent and newborn nervous systems and the importance of co-regulation for long term health, essentials of sleep, postpartum nutrition and digestion, meal planning and preparation, household tasks, supporting clients parenting choices, and the business of being a postpartum doula.

Investment: $775 Full tuition. Payment plans available.

Certification Requirements: Service as a postpartum doula for a minimum of four families with reflection of each case, your role and skills used, completion of written assignments and exams on postpartum physiology.
